I was born of fevers and

nightmares

with bullets grazing

every fiber of my illustrious being

I came to freedom

in a brilliant dream

where empty, fruitless promises

weighed like stifling

burdens

Yet, I did not concave

I did not crumble

for the sole reason that...

these years entwined have

bred memories divine

and false pretenses have been shunned

to the outskirts of

Heaven.
