Artist: Luke Schenker
School: North Allegheny
Notes:
This is all over supposed to be a more "Indiana Jones"-esk type of piece, like John Williams using primarily an orchestra to capture a more powerful mood. It starts with a powerful drum with a simple beat to get the attention of the audience. After a few runs through that beat, the accompaniment and melody both come in at once with strong velocity on the melody strings to bring the audience in more. The melody & accompaniment keep a consistent pattern and rhythm through that section (though at the very end of it both of them add in higher notes to lead into the second main section). Then a quick legato comes in for a few measures to double the tempo and soon adds another melody. This fast section is supposed to create a progressive feeling of excitement (hopefully). Then it simplifies that same melody with calmer accompaniment and resolves the piece on that note, ending it. Hazaa!
