Dog Portrait Journal

The photographer told a story through the point of view of a golden retriever rather than a person. This photo breaks away from a typical portrait because there is more than one subject in the frame, yet by not showing the other subjects faces, you focus on the dog, the main focal point. The photo seems old fashioned with the use of the acordian and large wooden porch with weathered chairs. The lighting is dark throughout the edges of the photo and brighter in the center when focussing on the subject, suggesting the time is late afternoon. I get the sense that a dinner party is going on and the dog is either barking at the guest arriving to the party and/or "singing" along to the music coming from the acordian.
