¡Yo Soy Chris !

This is who I am. I have 5 submissions.

This is my Portfolio.

Erhu
Notes: Erhu is a traditional Chinese string instrument. It produces very powerful sound most Westerners are unaccustomed to. This erhu piece has a strong oriental scent mixed with a piano, a flute, and a full orchestra. Enjoy!

Baseball
Notes:

Baseball's awesome

who doesn't it like it?

acutally i hate baseball.

I think it's a lazy man's game

however, my composition is about baseball. (sadly)

so enjoy my sound effects (strike 1, 2, and a home run)

Devil Went Down to Georgia
Notes: This composition requires two violins. It is designed to be a humorous skit/battle between two violinists who practice different genres: Classical and Country. I was slightly inspired by Charlie Daniels' Geico  commercial. In the commerical, he shows off his mastery in country music, and ends the piece by saying, "That's how you play son." My composition is somewhat of a twist in this regard. In this composition, 2nd violinist impresses with his country style music, but there is a rebuttal by 1st violinist who plays Beethoven like music.

Modified Melody on 3/10/10 at 01:03:39 PM
Notes: This composition is written for four different instruments: Piano, Violin, Cello, and Flute. It is written in the form of a fugue, so the first five measures of the piece can be heard in over and over again. The overall feel can be interpreted as "nature-friendly." I was thinking a lot about nature and shamrocks and happy unicorns(?) when I was writing this composition. The music is playable by a simple quartet. It is not very long, but there are many different elements involved in it. Hope you like it.

Untitled on 6/3/10 at 01:13:36 PM
Notes: I couldn't have come up with this composition if it wasn't for the contributions from all the awesome seniors in my AP Music Theory class. Maria Munsch, Celest Polakovic, Ben Waltz, and Troy Schaltenbrand all pitched in and turned this composition into something truly special. I would consider this piece a 21st century music because of all the weird sound effects i added using iPods. It uses several different instruments and softwares, but i don't remember any of them.....ENJOY!
